Cultivar epithet:  'Balisier'

Species/hybrid:  Heliconia bihai

Description:  Erect inflorescence; 8 to 22 distichous bracts, red with a narrow green lip, sometimes with a slight yellow streak beneath green, keel and tip green, bracts swollen laterally at base; rachis dark to light red; sepals dark to light green distally with a dark green tip, white proximally; ovary white or cream; pedicel white, may have yellowish tint.  Vegetation musoid. Height 1.5 to 3.6 m (5 to 12 feet).
