| Cultivar epithet: 'Cream' Species/hybrid: Heliconia caribaea Description: Erect inflorescence, 10 to 22 distichous bracts, gold over most of base and proximal lip, shading to yellow on proximal cheek and cream to green tint on distal cheek. Indistinct red area on mid-lip and may have red or pink splotches on cheek (increasing with age). Rachis pale yellow, sepals green distally and white below, ovary and pedicel white. Vegetation musoid with dense white waxy coating on stem, petiole and lower surface of leaf blade. Height 12 to 16 feet. Publication: Berry, F. and W.J. Kress. 1991.
