Cultivar epithet:  'Kathy'

Species/hybrid:  Heliconia psittacorum

Description:  Erect inflorescence, 4 to 5 distichous bracts, dark red with small cream patch at basal lip, basal bract may have thin distal green keel or tip, rachis red, lighter on upper rachis.  Sepals orange with distal black-green band and white to orange tip, ovary orange distally and yellow below, pedicel dull green at distal end and orange proximally.  Vegetation musoid.  Height 4 to 6 feet.
