| Cultivar epithet: 'Keanae Red' Species/hybrid: Heliconia psittacorum x spathocircinata Description: Erect inflorescence, 4 to 8 distichous bracts, red distally and along lip, orange basally, rachis orange to yellow, sepals golden, ovary and pedicel yellow. Vegetation musoid. Height 4 to 5 feet. Publication: Stokes Tropicals. 1998. Catalog Supplement. New Iberia, Louisiana. (Established as H. 'Keanea Red' but corrected by ICRA; named for Keanae, Maui, Hawaii)
