Cultivar epithet:  'Spectabilis'

Species/hybrid:  Heliconia indica

Description:  Erect inflorescence; 4 to 8 distichous bracts, pale green with thin red margins or mottled red and green; rachis pale yellow or green; sepals green becoming red with age; ovary pale
orange becoming red with age; pedicel yellow or green. Vegetation musoid, either green above with variable shades of bronzy red below, or green or reddish with rose pink, red, or white lateral striations. Height 3 to 6 m (10 to 20 feet).
