| Cultivar epithet: 'Yellow Gyre' Species/hybrid: Heliconia beckneri Description: Erect inflorescence; 8 to 12 spiral bracts, yellow, basal and sometimes other bracts with green tint along keel, lower bracts rarely with scarlet blotches along keel. Rachis solid green or yellow on bract side and green on opposite side; sepals dark green distally to white proximally; ovary greenish distally and cream proximally; pedicel cream. Vegetation musoid.
