Cultivar epithet:  'Yellow Panama'

Species/hybrid:  Heliconia hirsuta

Description:  Erect inflorescence; 5 to 10 distichous bracts, yellow with green tinge; rachis yellow; sepals yellow with distal black band and white tip; ovary dark yellow distally and light yellow below; pedicel yellow. Vegetation zingiberoid. Height 0.8 to 2.1 m (2.5 to 7 feet).
