| Cultivar epithet: 'Alan Carle' Species/hybrid: Heliconia psittacorum x spathocircinata Description: Erect inflorescence, 3 to 6 distichous bracts, reddish on most of cheek and keel, shading to yellowish on proximal cheek and along lip, greenish to yellow rachis, sepals yellowish proximally and dark green on distal third, ovary yellow and pedicel cream or yellowish.
