Cultivar epithet: 'Angry Moon' Species/hybrid: Heliconia griggsiana
Description: Pendent inflorescence; 9 to
30 spiral bracts, red, or pink and then red at base, pale red along lip,
dark red on tip (green tip on first two bracts), dark gray-blue-green,
sometimes blackish-purple, on most of cheek and keel. Rachis pink or
red, rarely yellowish; sepals gold distally to yellow proximally; ovary
and pedicel yellow-cream. Vegetation musoid, with white waxy coating
mainly on younger shoots, petiole and lower blade; maroon upper and
lower midrib and maroon blotches on petiole. Height 1.8 to 8.8 m (6 to
