Cultivar epithet: 'Blue Moon' Species/hybrid: Heliconia griggsiana Description: Pendent inflorescence, 5 to 30 spiral bracts, green over cheek and keel, yellow at base and along lip, basal bract mostly green, rachis cream with yellow tint, ovary and pedicel yellow-cream. Vegetation musoid, with white waxy coating on new shoots, petiole and lower leaf surface, pale maroon stripe on lower midrib. Height 6 to 28 feet. Nominant: D.
