Cultivar epithet:  'Chartreuse'

Species/hybrid:  Heliconia caribaea

Description:  Erect inflorescence; 11 to 12 distichous bracts, brilliant yellow-green, yellow at base, on proximal lip, and on upper bracts along proximal keel, bracts on younger inflorescences nearly all green; rachis yellow; sepals green distally and white proximally; ovary and pedicel white. Vegetation musoid, with white waxy coating on stem, petiole, and lower surface of leaf blade. Height 3.6 to 5.5 m (12 to 18 feet).
