Cultivar epithet:  'Flash'

Species/hybrid:  Heliconia caribaea

Description:  Erect inflorescence, 8 to 10 distichous bracts, red to pink over proximal cheek and keel, yellow at base and at proximal lip, green on distal keel, lip and tip, becoming more yellow on upper bracts.  Rachis yellow to pink, sepals green distally and white below, ovary and pedicel white.  Vegetation musoid with white waxy coating on stem, petiole and lower surface of leaf blade.  Height 13 to 15 feet.
