Cultivar epithet:  'Kaieteur Falls'

Species/hybrid:  Heliconia acuminata

Description:  Erect inflorescence; 4 to 5 distichous bracts, bright red with bright red rachis; sepals light yellow; ovary dark yellow to orange distally and light yellow below; pedicel light yellow. Vegetation musoid. Height 0.6 to 1.2 m (2 to 4 feet).

Notes:  Established as H. ‘Kaiteur Falls’ (Berry, 1991) but corrected by ICRA; named for Kaieteur Falls, Guyana.
