� Cultivar epithet: �'Kathy' Species/hybrid: �Heliconia psittacorum Description: �Erect inflorescence, 4 to 5 distichous bracts, dark red with small cream patch at basal lip, basal bract may have thin distal green keel or tip, rachis red, lighter on upper rachis.� Sepals orange with distal black-green band and white to orange tip, ovary orange distally and yellow below, pedicel dull green at distal end and orange proximally.� Vegetation musoid.� Height 4 to 6 feet.
