Cultivar epithet:  'Kauai Christmas'

Species/hybrid:  Heliconia orthotricha

Description:  Erect inflorescence; 5 to 7 distichous bracts, bright red with green lip subtended by a thin charcoal line, green tip, pubescent; rachis white; sepals green with white tip. Vegetation musoid, with slightly pubescent petioles and glabrous leaves. Height 1.3 m (4.3 feet).
