Cultivar epithet:  'Kauai Morning Sun'

Species/hybrid:  Heliconia orthotricha

Description:  Erect inflorescence; 5 to 7 distichous bracts, light orange-red with green lip subtended by a narrow black line, green tip, relatively non-pubescent; rachis pale yellow; sepals green with a whitish-yellow tip. Vegetation musoid, with glabrous petioles. Height 1.2 m (3.9 feet).
