� Cultivar epithet: �'Maya Blood' Species/hybrid: �Heliconia champneianana Description: �Erect inflorescence, 6 to 15 distichous bracts, dark to light red, often with orange on proximal cheek, basal bract often green.� Rachis red to reddish-orange, sepals orange distally, changing to yellowish-white proximally, ovary and pedicel white.� Vegetation musoid, lower surface often with red or maroon midrib.� Height 7 to 13 feet.
