� Cultivar epithet: �'Maya Gold' Species/hybrid: �Heliconia champneianana Description: �Erect inflorescence, 5 to 13 distichous bracts, gold to yellow with light to dark green along distal keel and at tip, some bracts with minute flecks of maroon, basal bract mostly green.� Rachis gold to yellow, sepals green distally and white below, ovary pale yellow and pedicel white with yellow tint.� Vegetation musoid.� Height 6 to 15 feet.
