Cultivar epithet: 'Mexico Red' Species/hybrid: Heliconia spissa Description: Erect inflorescence; 5 to 7 spiral bracts, red or pink, lower bracts greenish distally; rachis red or pink; sepals yellow with green tip; ovary green; pedicel yellow-green.
