Cultivar epithet: 'Orange Gyro' Species/hybrid: Heliconia latispatha Description: Erect inflorescence; 7 to 17 spiral bracts, orange, basal bract with green keel and usually with green terminal leaflet, next several bracts upward with green distal keel and tip. Rachis usually yellow with green tint; sepals pale yellow-green with dark green stripe along most of margin; ovary cream, usually with pale green distally; pedicel cream. Vegetation musoid, usually with a very thin maroon margin along leaves, rarely with maroon lower midrib. Height 1.5 to 4.9 m (5 to 16 feet). Nominant: F. Berry and J.
