Cultivar epithet: 'Shamrock' Species/hybrid: Heliconia psittacorum Description: Erect inflorescence; 5 o 7 distichous bracts, dark to dull green from base shading to pale pink along distal lip and on tip; basal bract with green tip; rachis green or green-yellow; sepals orange with green-black distal band and white tip; ovary dark green on distal half and green-white proximally; pedicel pale green. Vegetation musoid. Height 0.9 to 1.5 m (3 to 5 feet). Nominant: F. Berry (1989)
