Cultivar epithet:  'St. Vincent Red'

Species/hybrid:  Heliconia psittacorum

Description:  Erect inflorescence; 4 to 6 distichous bracts, bright to deep red shading to orange proximally; rachis orange distally shading to reddish proximally; sepals orange with indistinct green-black area distally; ovary orange distally, pale orange or yellow proximally; pedicel orange. Vegetation musoid. Height 0.8 to 1.8 m (2.5 to 6 feet).
