Cultivar epithet: 'Trinidad Red' Species/hybrid: Heliconia hirsuta Description: Erect inflorescence; 8 to 10 distichous bracts, dark red distally shading to orange proximally; rachis orange to yellow, some with pink distally; sepals reddish proximally, shading distally to orange to yellow to a green-black band to a dusky white tip; ovary dark green; pedicel light green.
