Cultivar epithet:  'Yellow Waltz'

Species/hybrid:  Heliconia acuminata

Description:  Erect inflorescence; 5 to 6 distichous to slightly spiral bracts, yellow with green infusion along cheek, basal bract green on old inflorescences; rachis yellow; sepals yellow with distal green-black band and dusky white tip; ovary and pedicel yellow, turning greenish with age. Vegetation musoid; lower midrib slightly maroon on some, white waxy coating on lower surface of leaf blade. Height 0.9 to 1.2 m (3 to 4 feet).
